...quite literally, it’s cold out there.
I decided to swing by the most spectacular urban park I’ve ever seen, which just happens to be our local one, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . There are probably better ones out there, but at 5300 acres, it’s pretty special.
Unfortunately I just escaped work about an hour before sunset, so I didn’t have much time to shoot once I reached the park ...but as I said, it’s cold, so the 5-10 minutes I had were plenty.
So a few sunset shots for you. Have a great weekend everyone. Hopefully a fun post tomorrow before The End of Embiggen .

That last shot is wicked.

Thanks. I wish there had been a few clouds to make the sky prettier, but I can’t complain about the setting. I hate the cold, but sometimes it’s just what the photodoc ordered.

Do you do any wildlife photography? The ornithology center there is cool, and it reminded me of how many types of cool birds hang around the park.

I used to do a little bit when I had a DSLR, but it’s hopeless with a camera phone.

I find the actual camera isn’t the problem so much as the fumbling around with the phone trying to get the composition right.

For wildlife? Just how fearless are the animals in your neck of the woods?

For birds and squirrels you just sit still long enough and they ignore you. Especially so if you are on the other side of a window. But when your moment comes, it’s hard to get it just right aiming an iBrick.
